Pursuant to General Assembly resolutions 73/226 and 75/212, the President of the General Assembly of the United Nations will convene a Conference on the Midterm Comprehensive Review of the Implementation of the Objectives of the International Decade for Action, “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018–2028 from 22 to 24 March 2023 and the Preparatory Meeting by November 2022 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

Information about the Conference and its Preparatory Meeting can be found on the UN 2023 Water Conference website.

Please note: practical arrangements for participation at the UN 2023 Water Conference and its preparatory meeting will be communicated in due time.

 

PARTICIPATION IN THE CONFERENCE AND ITS PREPARATORY MEETING

In accordance with General Assembly resolution 75/212, relevant non-governmental organizations, including civil society organizations, academic institutions, the scientific community, the private sector and philanthropic organizations, that are not currently accredited by ECOSOC, or that have not been accredited to participate in the World Summit on Sustainable Development can apply through this platform to seek special accreditation for both the Conference and its Preparatory Meeting as observers.

Relevant non-governmental organizations, including civil society organizations, academic institutions, the scientific community, the private sector and philanthropic organizations may apply for special accreditation by following the REGISTER NOW link at the bottom of this page.

The application for special accreditation is NOW OPEN until 15 July 2022.

*Stakeholder applications will be reviewed by Member States in accordance with GA Resolution 75/212. The name of the organization and country will be shared with the Member States, and, additionally, the homepage and/or the reason for participation may also be shared, if requested.
